CITY OF RIVERVIEW ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Zoning Board of Appeals for the City of Riverview, Michigan will hold a public hearing on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building located at 14100 Civic Park Drive for the following petitions: Case ZA-01-26 Sign exception request to allow a second ground sign in between the service drive and the King Road right-of-way for M.I.N.D. at 14750 King Road. The application was denied per Section 17.07.A. of the Zoning Ordinance for the following reasons: • Location. Signs must be setback from the right of way at a distance equal to the sign height (at minimum). In this case, the sign must be setback from the ROW at least 3.7 feet. The proposed sign is directly abutting the ROW. • Number of signs. Only one (1) ground sign is permitted per lot. The proposed sign would be the second ground sign at 14750 King Road. The purpose of this meeting is to hear all statements in opposition to or in support of this proposal. All interested parties wishing to be heard, please attend this meeting or submit a written statement to the City Clerk on or before 4:00 p.m. January 8, 2026.
