VILLAGE OF BINGHAM FARMS NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON NECESSITY OF THE POLICE SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT AND TO REVIEW THE SPECIAL ASSESSMENT ROLL A Public Hearing will be held by the Council of the Village of Bingham Farms on May 18, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 24255 West Thirteen Mile Road, Suite 190, Bingham Farms, Michigan 48025, to consider the necessity of a Special Assessment District for the purpose of providing additional police protection for the properties abutting Telegraph Road and Thirteen Mile Road within the Village limits that are zoned Professional Services (PS) and Commercial (C-1); and if the necessity to establish such a Special Assessment District is determined, a public hearing will be held to review the proposed Special Assessment Roll spreading the cost of such police protection over the benefited properties. The proposed special assessment for additional police protection in the Special Assessment District together with the proposed Special Assessment Roll are available for public inspection at the Village office, 24255 Thirteen Mile Road, Suite 190, Bingham Farms, Michigan, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday 9 am – 4 pm Friday. Please note, appearance and protest at the hearing in the special assessment proceedings is required in order to appeal the amount of the special assessment to the State Tax Tribunal. An owner or party of interest or his or her agent may appear in person at the hearing to protest the special assessment or shall be permitted to file his or her appearance or protest by letter and his or her personal appearance shall not be required.
