NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE PROPOSED ADOPTION OF A DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND TAX INCREMENT FINANCING PLAN OF THE LAKESIDE CORRIDOR IMPROVEMENT AUTHORITY Notice is hereby given that the City of Sterling Heights City Council will conduct a public hearing on May 19, 2026 at 7:00 PM within City Council Chambers, 40555 Utica Road, Sterling Heights, MI 48313, regarding the proposed adoption of the Lakeside Corridor Improvement Authority (Lakeside CIA) Development Plan and Tax Increment Financing Plan (TIF & Development Plan) under the Recodified Tax Increment Financing Act (PA 57 of 2018). The proposed TIF & Development Plan would not change or alter the boundaries of the Development Area previously established by the City Council, which generally includes all properties from the south side of Hall Road to the eastern side of Lakeside Mall south to Canal Road. Maps, plats, and a description of the TIF & Development Plan are available for review in the City Clerk’s Office, 40555 Utica Road, Sterling Heights, MI 48313. No families or individuals would be displaced as a result of the TIF & Development Plan adoption. All aspects of the TIF & Development Plan will be open for discussion at the public hearing.
