CITY OF FARMINGTON HILLS SUMMARY OF PROCEEDINGS CITY COUNCIL MEETING FEBRUARY 9, 2026 The study session was called to order by Mayor Rich at 5:36p.m. Approved -Entering into a closed session under Section 8(1)(h) of the Open Meetings Act for the purpose of discussing a written attorney-client privileged communication that is exempt from disclosure by state statute; and also under Section 8(1)(a) of the Open Meetings Act for the purpose of considering personnel/employment matters allowed under Section 8(1)(a) of the Open Meetings Act relating to the City Manager position, upon the City Manager’s request for same. The regular session was called to order by Mayor Rich at 7:35p.m. Council Present: Aldred, Boleware, Bridges, Dwyer, Knol, Rich, and Starkman Council Absent: None Others Present: Acting City Manager Mondora, City Clerk Lindahl, Directors Aranowski, Rushlow, and Schnackel, and City Attorneys Joppich, Sashital, and Young Recognized: -February 20, 2026 as Government Communicators Day Received: -Attorney Report Approved/Accepted: -Separation Agreement between the City of Farmington Hills and Gary Mekjian, as discussed in closed session and presented to Council at the regular meeting, and authorized the Mayor to sign same -Resolutions for the partial vacation of water main easements located at 30825 Orchard Lake Road, Hunters Square -Adoption of a resolution approving Oakland County P25 Simulcast System Interlocal Agreement -City Council joint meeting minutes from January 15, 2026, and meeting minutes from January 26, 2026 Awarded Contract/Bid/Proposal/Purchase to: -Third Cost Tech, LLC for extension of award for the purchase and installation of audio and visual equipment for the third floor room 348 Conference Center at The Hawk in the amount of $45,403.71 Theresa Rich, Mayor Carly Lindahl, City Clerk
