CITY OF EASTPOINTE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PLANNING COMMISSION Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held before the Eastpointe Planning Commission on Thursday July 9th, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., at City Hall (located at 23200 Gratiot Avenue, Eastpointe, Michigan, 48021) for the purpose of hearing comments on a request for Special Land Use approval for the properties at 21801 Gratiot (Parcel 02-14-31-155-017), 21901 Gratiot (Parcel 02-14-31-155-022), 21705 Gratiot (Parcel 14-31-155-021), and 15145 Toepfer (Parcel 14-31-155-020). The request is to facilitate the development of an automobile sales and service establishment. Vehicle sales and vehicle repair establishments are allowable with Special Land Use approval in the MU-3 Regional Mixed Use zoning classification. Written comments may be submitted to the Planning Department until 4:00 p.m. the day of the hearing via email at planningandzoning@eastpointecity.org or or by writing to Eastpointe Planning Department, 23200 Gratiot Avenue, Eastpointe, MI 48021. The City of Eastpointe will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services to individuals at the meeting/hearing upon 5 days’ prior notice.
