CITY OF GIBRALTAR REGULAR COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS JANUARY 26, 2026 The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Gibraltar convened at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building, 29450 Munro Avenue, Gibraltar, MI. 48173 Present: Shumate, Boismier, Cox, Dill, LaPointe, McNabb Absent: Molnar COUNCIL TOOK THE FOLLOWING ACTION: 26-013 Excuse Councilman Molnar as absent. 26-014 Add “2026 Tax Preparation Opportunities” and “Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber of Commerce Meeting Update” to Council Reports on the agenda. 26-015 Approve the agenda as revised. 26-016 Approve the consent agenda as follows: A) Bills Reference #14, B) Payroll #997, C) City Council Minutes of 1/12/2026, D) Planning Commission Minutes of 11/25/2025, E) DDA Minutes of 11/25/2026, F) Recreation Commission Minutes of 1/6/2026, G) Police Department Report for 1/12/2026, H) Fire Department Report for 1/12/2026, I) WOW Franchise Agreement, J) Transfer Resolution – Major & Local Roads to General Fund 1st & 2nd Quarter, K) Transfer Resolution – Water Operations to General Fund 1st & 2nd Quarter. 26-017 Enter into Closed Session at 6:37 p.m. to discuss a written legal opinion. 26-018 Reopen the regular meeting at 8:08 p.m. 26-019 Pursue Option 2 & 2A pursuant to Miller Johnson recommendation. 26-020 Approve the purchase of the weed harvester for the Waterways Commission’s use with the assumption that a reimbursement from Wayne County will come to the City. 26-021 Approve Collins Engineering Amendments 2, 3, and 4. 26-022 Adopt the mid-year budget revision for FY 2025-2026. 26-023 Approve the purchase of benches for the baseball field. 26-024 Approve the purchase of one Wanco Compact Diesel Light Tower from MacAllister Equipment. 26-025 Approve the purchase of a Wanco Traffic Solar-Powered Arrow Board from MacAllister Equipment. 26-026 Approve the purchase of four 12” HYMAX couplings for water main repairs from Blue Water Solutions. 26-027 Approve the payment of MacAllister invoice for equipment rental. 26-028 Approve Change Order #1 from PM Technologies for the DPW Emergency Generator. 26-029 Pay the tuition and fees for Firefighter II at Wayne County Community College for W.
