NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF GIBRALTAR, WAYNE COUNTY, MICHIGAN NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Hearing, as provided for by the Code of Ordinances under Chapter 44, Article XXXII – Sec. 44-1027 (Amendment Procedure), will be held by the Planning Commission on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. in the Gibraltar Municipal Complex, 29450 Munro Avenue, Gibraltar, MI 48173. This hearing is in regard to proposed amendments to Chapter 44 of the City of Gibraltar Code of Ordinances (Zoning), including a comprehensive update, revision, reorganization, and modernization of the City’s Zoning Ordinance. The Planning Commission shall consider the proposed amendments to Chapter 44. The proposed changes include revisions to various provisions of the Zoning Ordinance relating to zoning districts and uses, development and site standards, housing and development opportunities, administrative procedures, nonconformities, and the overall organization and administration of the Ordinance. Persons wishing to provide their comments on these proposed changes are invited to attend the Public Hearing, or to send their comments in writing to the attention of the Planning Commission using the City Hall address provided above. All written comments received by the close of business Friday, September 4, 2026, will be considered. Physically challenged persons needing assistance or aid at the Public Hearing should contact the City Clerk during regular office hours not less than seventy-two (72) hours prior to the Public Hearing for assistance.
