Public Notice Charter Township of Clinton County of Macomb The Charter Township of Clinton will hold a public hearing to receive comments from interested parties on the Township’s proposed Grant Application to the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund (MNRTF). The MNRTF is a source of funding for state and local units of government to develop land for natural resource-based public outdoor recreation. Clinton Township is seeking a Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund (MNRTF) Development Grant for improvements at George George Memorial Park. The MNRTF Development Grant request is for the rehabilitation and replacement of existing shared-use pathways, pedestrian bridges over the Clinton River and Harrington Drain, and associated boardwalk sections to improve safety, accessibility, and long- term durability of the park’s non-motorized recreation infrastructure. These improvements will enhance public access throughout the park and provide continued connectivity to natural resource features within the site. The project area is located on Parcel Number 16-11-15-176-012, which contains approximately 32.73 acres of land. The hearing will be held at 6:30 pm on March 16, 2026, at the Charter Township of Clinton, 40700 Romeo Plank Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038. The Application due date is April 1, 2026, to be considered for 2026 funding. Responses will be made to written comments received before the public hearing record is closed on March 16, 2026.
