CITY OF CLAWSON NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON INCREASING PROPERTY TAXES & THE PROPOSED 2026-2027 COMBINED CITY BUDGETS PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 7:30 p.m., a public hearing will be held at the City of Clawson City Hall Council Chambers located at 425 North Main Street, Clawson, Michigan. The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed Clawson municipal budget will be a subject of this hearing. The City will also present the proposed 2026-2027 Fiscal Year Budget at this hearing. All citizens attending the hearing will have the right to provide written and oral comments, and to ask questions regarding the Millage Rates and Budget Document. A copy of the proposed budget is available for public inspection at the City Clerk’s office during normal business hours at 425 North Main Street, Clawson, Michigan. • General Operating Millage Rate to be levied in full reduced by the Headlee Millage Reduction Fraction (HMRF) at 8.6704 mills • Added voted General Operating Millage Rate levied in full-HMRF reduced to 3.5054 mills • Refuse Collection & Disposal Millage Rate levied in full-HMRF reduced to 1.7334 mills • Added voted Refuse Collection & Disposal Millage Rate levied in full-HMRF reduced to .6832 mills • DDA Millage on personal and real property in the DDA district levied in full reduced by HMRF to 1.8280 mills • Library Rate to be levied in full reduced by the HMRF to .7978 mills • Added voted Library millage levied in full reduced by HMRF to .2681 mills • PA 359 Promotional millage rate maximum allowed levy of .0888 mills • Combined Debt Millage required to pay all debt of 6.9000 mills • Combined City Budgets presented by Fund • 5-Year Capital Equipment and Improvement Plan This notice is given by order of the Clawson City Council.
