PUBLIC NOTICE Isabella County Transportation Commission PROPOSED STATE AND FEDERAL APPLICATION FOR OPERATING AND/OR CAPITAL ASSISTANCE All citizens are advised that the Isabella County Transportation Commission has prepared an application for State of Michigan financial assistance for fiscal year 2027, as required under Act 51 of the Public Acts of 1951, as amended, and for federal assistance as required under the federal transit laws, as amended. The Isabella County Transportation Commission is requesting a total of $10,553,954 through the following funding sources: $2,703,717 in State Formula Operating assistance, $1,472,237 in Federal Section 5311 Operating assistance, and $6,378,000 in Section 5339 Bus and Bus Facilities capital funds for the purchase of 27 replacement vehicles (14 small duty $2,562,000, 13medium duty $3,016,000), one(1) administrative vehicle ($68,000), and touchless automatic bus wash system ($500,000) and $232,000 STBG (STP) funds for one(1) replacement vehicle. The Isabella County Transportation Commission is also requesting $85,000 for federal section 5311 operating assistance as required under the Federal Public Transportation Act 2005 under the Job Access Reverse Commute (JARC) program. The Isabella County Transportation Commission ensures that the level and quality of transportation service is provided without regard to race, color, or national origin in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Pleasant, Michigan, and may be reviewed during a 30-day period via request through email or USPS, Monday through Friday, February 5, 2026, through March 18, 2026, between the hours of 8:00AM and 4PM. Written comments regarding the application and/or written requests for a public hearing to review the application must be received by March 18, 2026. If a hearing is requested, notice of the scheduled date, time, and location will be provided at least 10 days in advance.
