PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE PROPOSED ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY ACROSS FROM ROTARY PARK AT 37217 UTICA ROAD CITY OF STERLING HEIGHTS, MACOMB COUNTY, MICHIGAN MARCH 17, 2026 7:00 PM AS PART OF THE STERLING HEIGHTS CITY COUNCIL MEETING MICHIGAN NATURAL RESOURCES TRUST FUND GRANT APPLICATION Notice is hereby given that the City of Sterling Heights Department of Parks and Recreation will hold a Public Meeting on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 7:00PM to take comments regarding the submittal of a grant application to acquire property located across from Rotary Park at 37217 Utica Road for purposes of preservation and expanding green space in the city. The property, approximately 13.75 acres in size, is located on the south side of Utica Road, with about 1,000 feet of frontage along Utica Road. The grant will be submitted to the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund (MNRTF) for an amount equal to the market value of the property, less 30% of that amount which must be provided by the City as matching funds. The meeting will be held at the Sterling Heights City Hall in the Council Chamber, located at 40555 Utica Road, Sterling Heights, Michigan 48313.
