City of Lincoln Park Planning Commission Notice of Public Hearing March 18, 2026 Public notice is hereby given to all persons in the City of Lincoln Park that a public hearing will be held by the Planning Commission at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Lincoln Park City Hall to solicit comments on a special land use application within the City. The proposed special land use approval would allow for site and building renovations, including partial demolition and re-building, as well as site layout modifications to the existing automotive service establishment on the properties of 2357 and 2379 Dix Highway, Lincoln Park, MI 48146. The site is located on the east side of Dix Highway, between Mill St and McLain Ave. The proposed use falls within the use category, “automotive service centers without fueling stations, provided that no outside storage of vehicles shall exceed a period of twenty-four (24) hours,” which are permitted uses within the Municipal Business District (MBD) after special land use approval under §1278.03 of the Lincoln Park Zoning Code. The site is located at: 2357 and 2379 Dix Highway, Lincoln Park, MI 48146 Parcel IDs: 45-010-07-1162-301 and 45-010-07-1170-001 Proposals are available for review at www.citylp.com one week before the public hearing date. Comments from the public are welcome at the public hearing to be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at 7:00 pm or shortly after as the agenda allows, at Lincoln Park City Hall, 1355 Southfield Road, Lincoln Park MI 48146. Written comments may be submitted to the City of Lincoln Park Building Department, until the day before the meeting. This notice is in compliance with sections 1262.07 and 1262.08 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lincoln Park, Michigan Public Act 267 of 1976 (Open Meetings Act), and the Americans with Disabilities Act. The City of Lincoln Park will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audio tapes of printed material being considered at the meeting to individuals with disability at the hearing upon seven (7) days prior notice to the City of Lincoln Park.
