CITY OF RIVERVIEW PLANNING COMMISSION NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN a public hearing is scheduled for Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Conference Room of the Municipal Building located at 14100 Civic Park Drive, Riverview, MI 48193. The Planning Commission will consider amendments to the City of Riverview Zoning Ordinance for the following: 1. Section 9.201. Front Yards – Amendment to exempt fences from the setback requirements of Subsection C. Corner Lot Restrictions. 2. Article 15 - Walls and Fences a. Section 15.01 – General Standards for All Fences and Walls. Add Subsection B. Restrictions on Fence Construction. b. Section 15.06 – Decorative Fences. Add natural barrier language. Copies of the proposed ordinance is available for review at the Community Development Department and City Clerk’s Office located within the Municipal Building, as well as at the City of Riverview Public Library. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED City of Riverview Planning Commission will hear comments on the proposed Zoning Amendments.
