PUBLIC HEARING CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF WEST BLOOMFIELD PLANNING COMMISSION The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at the West Bloomfield Town Hall, 4550 Walnut Lake Road, on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. to consider the following items: West Bloomfield Parks and Recreation Community Connect Center (PSP25-0022, PZR26- 0001, PWT26-2746, PWD26-0429) Request: Review and Recommendation to the Township Board for approval for the following requests: amend the Township Zoning Map, specifically to modify the woodland conservation overlay district (aka Woodland Map) boundary to deregulate a mapped woodlands area on the Civic Center Campus (PZR26-0001, PWD26-0429) ; a use permit request for permanent disturbances within wetland and environmental features setback area, temporary disturbances within environmental features setback areas, stormwater discharge within the environmental features setback including installations of native landscape treatments (PWT26-2746); and for the site plan, special land use and storm water management plan for the construction of a new 48,175 square foot Community Connect Center to replace the existing parks and recreation building. Publicly owned recreational facilities are special land uses in the R-15 One Family Residential Zoning District. Childcare centers are a special land use in the R-15 One Family Residential Zoning District. Location: 6655 Middlebelt Rd., located on the east side of Middlebelt Road, Sidwell # 18-36- 101-006; approximately 11.96 acres.
