Introduced and First Reading: May 18, 2026 Second Reading and Adoption: June 1, 2026 An Ordinance to Amend, Appendix A, captioned Zoning, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Oak Park, Michigan, by amending Article III. GENERAL PROVISIONS, DIVISION 1. GENERAL PROVISIONS and ARTICLE IV. SITE DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS, DIVISION 4. SIGNS. ARTICLE III. GENERAL PROVISIONS, DIVISION 1. GENERAL PROVISIONS is amended to reintroduce the reserved Sec. 302. to be captioned Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. The following sections in ARTICLE IV. SITE DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS, DIVISION 4. SIGNS were amended: Sec. 466. Sign definitions; Sec. 472. Specific sign standards; Sec. 473. Additional sign standards; and Sec. 476 Dangerous, unsafe, abandoned, and illegally erected signs. Adopted, Approved and Passed by the Oak Park City Council on June 1, 2026. The Ordinance shall become effective ten (10) days from the date of its passage or upon the expiration of seven (7) days after its publication, whichever is later.
