NOTICE OF ADOPTION The City of Wyandotte Code of Ordinance(s) has been amended as follows: Amendment #1561 AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WYANDOTTE BY RESCINDING A PORTION OF §71.002 “AMENDMENTS” AND REFERENCING THE MICHIGAN VEHICLE CODE THE CITY OF WYANDOTTE ORDAINS: Section 1. Rescission of portion of the ordinance contained in Chapter 71 “Traffic Regulations” in §71.002 “Amendments” of the Uniform Traffic Code §71.002 Amendments. Paragraphs (R) through (Z) and paragraphs (AA) through (BB) of §71.002 “Amendments” are hereby rescinded. This rescission includes all of Section 5.15 and Sections 5.15a-n. Section 2. Michigan Vehicle Code (Chapter 70) If any provision of Chapter 71 is inconsistent with the provisions of the Michigan Vehicle Code, then the provisions of the Michigan Vehicle Code shall prevail. Section 3. Severability. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed only to the extent necessary to give this ordinance full force and effect. Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take immediate effect. This ordinance is deemed necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and for providing for the usual daily operation of the City of Wyandotte Police Department. A summary of this ordinance shall be published in a newspaper generally circulated in the City of Wyandotte within ten (10) days after adoption. The summary shall designate the location in the City where a true copy of the ordinance can be inspected or obtained. CERTIFICATION We, the undersigned Robert A. DeSana and Mary Pilon, respectively, the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Wyandotte, do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was duly passed by the City Council of the City of Wyandotte, at a regular session on Monday, April 13, 2026.
