CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF BROWNSTOWN WAYNE COUNTY, MICHIGAN ORDINANCE NO. 141- 85 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE 141-45, SECTION 25.09 (DEFINITIONS O-P) BY ADDING A NEW SUBSECTION (q) AND REDESIGNATING THE FOLLOWING SUBSECTIONS. The Charter Township of Brownstown Ordains: Section 1: Ordinance No. 141-45, “ZONING ORDINANCE”, Section 25.09 (q) shall now provide: (q) Portable Temporary Storage Containers. A box-like container typically delivered by truck, used to temporarily store household or other goods and items. A portable temporary storage container does not include a truck trailer, or other part of a motor vehicle, nor any type of wheeled vehicle or conveyance except when attached to a truck for delivery and removal. (e.g. PODS). Section 2: Ordinance No. 141-45, “ZONING ORDINANCE”, Sections 25.09 (q) through (u) shall be redesignated as Sections 25.09 (r) through (u), respectively. Section 3. Severability. If any article, section, paragraph, clause or provision of this Ordinance shall be held invalid, the invalidity of such article, section, paragraph, clause or provision shall not affect any of the other provisions of this Ordinance. Section 4. Repealer. All ordinances, resolutions or orders, or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance to the extent of such conflict, are hereby repealed. 1st Reading Township Board approved on April 6, 2026. 2nd Reading to be adopted by the Township Board on May 4, 2026.
