ORDINACE NO. 75.3 THE CITY OF RICHMOND, MACOMB COUNTY, MICHIGAN AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 CHAPTER 14 ANIMALS, ARTICLE III LIVESTOCK Richmond City Code of Ordinances, is hereby amended to provide the following changes to sections of Chapter 14, Article III: Sec. 14-57 to 14-56, Sec. 14-58 to 14-57 (5) The area in acres of the property where the livestock are proposed to be kept, Sec. 14-59 Investigation; issuance. If the council, after receiving such report, determines that the request to keep livestock will not be detrimental to the health, safety and welfare of any of the inhabitants of the city, or constitute a public nuisance, the council shall grant to the person applying therefore, a permit in writing, signed by the clerk, authorizing the applicant to keep the specified horses, cattle, swine, sheep, ponies, goats, rabbits, poultry or other animals or fowl, as applied for together with such other applicable conditions as the Council may decide, Sec. 14-61. Minimum lot size: A minimum of 2.0 acres shall be required to keep any horse, cattle swine, sheep, pony, goat, rabbit, poultry or other animal or fowl within the corporate limits of the city. Any lot with less than 2.0 acres in area is prohibited from having any livestock, Sec. 14-56 to 14-62, Sec.14-61 to 14-63. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its enactment.
