NOTICE TO ALL CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP PROPERTY OWNERS, AGENTS, AND OCCUPANTS NOXIOUS WEED ORDINANCE NO. 114 In accordance with Ordinance No. 114 of the Chesterfield Twp. Code of Ordinances known as the Chesterfield Twp. Noxious Weed Ordinance, which this Ordinance was enacted pursuant to Act 359, Michigan Public Acts of 1941, as amended, you are hereby notified that it shall be the duty of all owners, agents or occupants of subdivided land on which noxious weeds are growing to destroy such weeds form perpetuating themselves, or to prevent such weeds from becoming a detriment to public health. Eradication of all noxious weeds shall be completed no later than May 1st of each year. The accepted method of treating and eradicating such weeds is by cutting, plowing under or destroying by use of an accepted liquid weed killer. No such weeds shall be destroyed by fire. Refusal or failure of any owner, agent or occupant to destroy all noxious weeds by May 1st may result in the imposition of a fine, or shall result in the Commissioner of Noxious Weeds or any official inspector or any agent authorized by the Township entering on said premises to destroy said weeds as often as necessary. All expenses incurred by the Township in destroying weeds will be charged to the owner or agent and shall create a lien on said property. RESOLUTION NO. 98-05 FEES 1) That the fees for the cutting and/or removing of noxious weeds by the township Shall be as follows: (a) Lots that do not exceed 50 feet by 100 feet; $200 (b) Lots that exceed 50 feet by 100 feet, but do not exceed 1 acre: $200.00 plus $2.00 per liner foot of frontage; (c) Lots that exceed 1 acre: $300.00 plus $100.00 per hour.
