CITY OF FLAT ROCK AMENDED NOXIOUS WEED ORDINANCE Notice is hereby given that all excessively grown over 6 inches noxious weeds, as defined by the city Code section 98, 26-35, growing and all dead grass and weeds or grass over six inches in height on any land within the City of Flat Rock, County of Wayne, State of Michigan, must be cut down, destroyed and removed from platted, subdivided, out lots, or portion of such lots, including any paved portion of the right-of-way immediately adjacent thereto, and maintain such land completely free of noxious weeds that exceed six inches. “Upon the failure, neglect or refusal of any such owner, occupant, agent or person to abate the stated violations within the stated time the enforcing official may assign such employees to enter upon the land and to destroy such weeds or growth by spraying, cutting, or by other such acceptable methods; and any expense in such abatement if not paid to the city within 60 days from the date a statement thereof was forwarded to the party shall be reported to the city council.” Copy of entire Ordinance No. 424, Section 98, can be obtained at Flat Rock City Hall or online at www.flatrockmi.org Lisa Ritch, Acting City Clerk Publish March 15 , 2026
