PINE RIVER TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING(S) PROPOSED ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT FOR TOWING BUSINESSES and PROPOSED CHANGES TO BUILDING SEPARATION DISTANCES The Pine River Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 6:00 p.m., at the Pine River Township Hall, 1495 W Monroe Road, Saint Louis, Michigan 48880, to consider: 1) a proposed amendment to the Zoning Ordinance (Chapter 18 – Definitions, Sections 205 and 803 – Towing Business Special Use in Light Commercial District, and Adding Section 1533 for Towing Business Performance Standards), that would regulate the development and use of Towing Businesses within the Township; and 2) a text amendment to change the minimum required distance between buildings in all zoning districts to 15 feet. A copy of the proposed ordinance amendment is available for inspection during ordinary business hours at the Pine River Township Hall and also will be available for inspection at the public hearing. Written comments on the proposed ordinance amendment will be received at the Township Hall prior to the public hearing or at the public hearing. Pine River Township will provide auxiliary aids or services to individuals with disabilities.
