NOTICE OF HEARING AND IMMEDIATE EXCLUSION PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE 3 SAGINAW CHIPPEWA INDIAN TRIBE OF MICHIGAN NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan has initiated exclusion proceedings against, Waabzhkiinangwegan “Giizhig” Osawamick pursuant to Ordinance 3 of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that Waabzhkiinangwegan “Giizhig” Osawamick has been immediately excluded from all lands and property of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan pending further proceedings, except for the sole and limited purpose of attending the hearing scheduled in this matter. A hearing in this matter shall be held on the 6th day of August, 2026, at 1 p.m. at 6954 East Broadway, Mount Pleasant, Michigan 48858, for the purpose of receiving evidence, making findings, and providing recommendations to the Tribal Council regarding whether the Respondent should continue to be excluded from Tribal lands pursuant to Ordinance 3. The Respondent shall provide written confirmation to Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan, Legal Department, 7500 Soaring Eagle Boulevard, Mount Pleasant, Michigan 48858 within ten (10) calendar days from the date of publication of this Notice that she will attend the schedule hearing, or to request a continuance of the hearing date. If the Respondent will be represented by an attorney at the hearing, the Respondent must provide a written notice of the name, address and phone number of the attorney to the Tribe at least five (5) calendar days before the date of the exclusion hearing. Failure to provide written confirmation or request a continuance within the required time period may result in the Respondent being deemed to have waived the right to a hearing, and a default Order of Exclusion may be entered in the Respondent’s absence. This Notice is published pursuant to Ordinance 3 of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan. The hearing scheduled herein is set no sooner than thirty (30) calendar days following publication of this Notice.
