CITY OF LINCOLN PARK WAYNE COUNTY, MICHIGAN NOTICE OF ELECTION & DEADLINE TO REGISTER PRIMARY ELECTION TO BE HELD TUESDAY, AUGUST 4, 2026 TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF LINCOLN PARK: YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED, that a Primary Election will be held in the City of Lincoln Park, County of Wayne, Michigan, on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at which time the following offices will be voted upon in the City of Lincoln Park, County of Wayne: GOVERNOR UNITED STATES SENATOR REPRESENTATIVE IN CONGRESS, 13th DISTRICT STATE SENATOR, 1ST DISTRICT REPRESENTATIVE IN STATE LEGISLATURE, 2ND DISTRICT WAYNE COUNTY EXECUTIVE DELEGATE TO COUNTY CONVENTION YOU ARE ALSO HEREBY NOTIFIED, that the following proposals identified below, are qualified to appear on the August 4, 2026 Primary Election ballot: Wayne County Transit Authority – Public Transportation Millage A replacement of an existing millage to levy at a maximum rate of 0.9831 mills (0.98 cents per $1,000 of taxable value) for a period of 10 years beginning with the 2026 tax year levy. The new millage will distribute to Wayne County, SMART, DDOT and other transit providers.an estimated $57,616,329.00 in the first year. City of Lincoln Park – Police & Fire Millage Renewal A proposal to renew the existing 3.4591 mill Police & Fire millage, solely for Police & Fire purposes for an additional 3 years. If approved, it will generate approximately $2,747,921 in the year 2027.
