NOTICE OF ELECTION/VOTER REGISTRATION August 4, 2026 Please take notice, that any qualified elector of the City of South Lyon, Oakland County, Michigan who is not already registered, may register to vote at the office of the City Clerk; the office of the County Clerk; a Secretary of State branch office or other designated state agency. Voter registration forms can be found at http://mi.gov.vote and mailed to the South Lyon City Clerk at 335 S. Warren, South Lyon, MI 48178. The last day to register to vote in any manner, (other than in person) with the local clerk will be July 20th. After this date, anyone who qualifies may register to vote in person with proof of residency (MCL.168.492) at South Lyon City Hall, 335 S Warren. Our regular business hours are Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.– 5:00 p.m. The city offices will be open for voter registration and early voting purposes only on Saturday and Sunday August 1st and 2nd from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The Polls will be open on Election Day from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Precinct #1 Police Administration building 214 W Lake Street Precinct #2 Bartlett Elementary School 350 School St Precinct #3 Bartlett Elementary School 350 School St Precinct #4 South Lyon City Hall 335 S Warren Precinct #5 First United Methodist Church 640 S Lafayette St Please take notice, the Primary Election will be held on August 4, 2026. Electors will be voting for Governor, Representative in Congress 7th District, State Senator 13th District, State Representative 23rd District, Circuit Court Judge 6th Circuit and Judge of Probate Court, and Precinct Delegates. The ballot also includes 1 proposal will be on the ballot for the Oakland County Intermediate School district. Full language of proposal may be obtained at your City/County Clerk’s office as well as online at www.mi.gov/vote or www.oakgov.com You may also find a sample ballot available at the City Clerk’s office. If you choose to vote by absentee ballot, please contact the Clerk’s office at 248-437-1735.
