NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR 2026-2027 BUDGET The Shepherd Village Council will hold a public hearing on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 5:30 pm at the Shepherd Village Office, 251 W Wright Avenue, Shepherd, Michigan to set the 2026-2027 fiscal year budget for the Village of Shepherd. The property tax millage rate proposed to levy a millage rate that would result in increased tax revenue on base tax properties due to increased valuation that would support the Village budget, fees for trash contract services and emergency services flat fee special assessment roll will be a subject of this hearing. Public comment, written or oral is invited. Copies of the budget will be available from the Village Clerk’s office, 251 W Wright Avenue, Shepherd MI 48883.
