NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Bruce Township Zoning Board of Appeals Notice is hereby given that the Bruce Township Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Monday, March 23, 2026, beginning at 6:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows, at the Bruce Township Hall, 223 East Gates Street, Romeo, MI 48065. The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comments on a request submitted by Bible Truth Apostolic Church for a variance to exceed the height limit of the R1 Single-Family Residential district by 3 feet for a new church. The height limit is 30 feet, and the applicant proposes a height of 33 feet. The property is a vacant parcel on Van Dyke/M-53 (parcel ID 14-01-14-300-010) and is approximately 20.15 acres. A complete copy of the application for a variance may be examined at Bruce Township Hall, 223 East Gates Street, Romeo, MI 48065, prior to the public hearing, during the Township’s regular business hours, Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM through 4:30 PM. Written comments may be addressed to the Zoning Board of Appeals at the Township Hall address. Oral comments will be taken during the hearing on March 23, 2026.
