NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ADOPTION OF A BROWNFIELD PLAN FOR THE CITY OF OAK PARK PURSUANT TO AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ACT 381 OF THE PUBLIC ACTS OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN 1996, AS AMENDED Notice is hereby given that a public hearing shall be held before the City Council of the City of Oak Park at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2025 or thereafter, held in City Council Chambers, 14000 Oak Park Blvd., Oak Park, MI, on the adoption of a Brownfield Plan for four (4) contiguous parcels on Eight Mile Road in the City of Oak Park, pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of the Brownfield Redevelopment Acts of the State of Michigan of 1996, as amended. The description of the proposed brownfield property is: The brownfield property (“subject property”) consists of four (4) legal parcels (parcel ID(s): 52-25-32-351-030, 52-25-32-351-031, 52-25-32-351-032, and 52-25-32-351-038), totals approximately 9.75 acres and is bounded by W. Eight Mile to the south, Fern Street on the East, industrial improved property to the north, and general business to the west. The subject property is underutilized. Parcel 52-25-32-351-032 is vacant. Parcel 52-25-32-351-038, commonly known as 13000 W. Eight Mile, contains a commercial building constructed in 1951. Parcel 52-25-32-351-030, commonly known as 12990 W. Eight Mile, contains a commercial building constructed in 1954. Parcel 52-25-351-031, commonly known as 12992 W. Eight Mile Road, contains a commercial warehouse built in 1987. The proposed Brownfield Plan would allow the City of Oak Park Brownfield Authority to reimburse the Developer for eligible costs incurred to prepare the brownfield property for redevelopment in accordance with PA 381, as amended. A description of the subject property along with the maps, and a copy of the Brownfield Plan are available for public inspections at the Oak Park Economic Development and Planning office, 14300 Oak Park Blvd., Oak Park, Michigan. The public may appear at the Public Hearing in person or by counsel.
