MOTION MADE BY Eason MOTION SECONDED BY Dittrich AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REVISE THE CODE OF ORDINANCES FOR THE CITY OF NEW BALTIMORE, CHAPTER 20, SEC 20-57(2), TO PROVIDE FOR AN EXCEPTION FOR EXTENDING THE TIME BEYOND 11:00 P.M. FOR AN APPROVED CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL EVENT, AND TO PROVIDE FOR REPEALER, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE. CITY OF NEW BALTIMORE MACOMB COUNTY, MICHIGAN ORDINANCE NO. 271 THE CITY OF NEW BALTIMORE ORDAINS: Section 1. Chapter 20, Sec 20-57(2) of the New Baltimore Code of Ordinances is hereby amended by adding at the end of the paragraph the following: When approving a special event, the City Council may allow for extended times for the special event entertainment Section 2. Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed only to the extent necessary to give this Ordinance full force and effect. Section 3. Severability. If any article, section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, or portion of this Ordinance is held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct, and independent provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of remaining portions of the Ordinance, being the intent of the City that this Ordinance shall be fully severable Section 4. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after publication.
