I. Introduction and Overview The Romine Group Inc. is requesting bids for Roof System Replacement at Michigan Collegiate Elementary. The point of contact for all bids will be Dan Schluckbier of TRG. All inquiries should be made through e-mail to: dan@therominegroup.com Sealed bids will be accepted for Michigan Collegiate’s Roof Replacement until 10:00 a.m., April 24, 2026 (the Due Date). Bids will be opened on the Due Date at 1:30 p.m. Bid proposals may only be delivered via U.S. Mail, courier service, or hand delivery. TRG reserves the right to reject bids that do not meet the bidding requirements, and to choose the bid that is deemed most advantageous to Michigan Collegiate. Specifications for Bid Bidders must provide a proposed contract that includes references, proof of insurance, costs encompassing all required work, and a work to be completed page that covers, at a minimum, all the details in section III. III. Scope of Work a. Pricing includes all labor and materials until job is complete. b. Remove existing roofing materials down to the wood deck. c. Inspect wood deck, replace deteriorated decking with comparable material. PRICE PER SHEET OF REPLACEMENT DECKING MUST BE INCLUDED IN BID. (All replacement decking must be preapproved by Michigan Collegiate Representative.) d. Install minimum 1” base layer of sloped insulation . e. Install all necessary drip edge and flashing to complete the roofing system. f. Remove all debris from jobsite. g. Minimum 15-year, unconditional warranty, on all products and workmanship, covering any leaks, MUST be included in the quote/contract. •Warranty will be one of the key deciding factors when selecting the contract. j. Flat roof area (approx. 24,000 sq ft) can be quoted using 45 Mil adhered EPDM roof system, and/or, a mechanically fastened roof system (such as Durolast). ITB No. B2010-1 Merritt Roof System h. Method of Award and Selection Criteria In addition of contract cost, other factors that may be considered for evaluating bids are the ability and skill, reputation and appearance, warranty, and past work history of the bidder. The school will enter into contract with the bidder that they fell most confident will satisfy all of their requirements. It is the intention of TRG to notify the winning bidder no later than April 27, 2026. The winning bidder will be contacted by phone, followed in writing.
