City of St. Clair Shores, Michigan NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR VACATION OF A PORTION OF HUGHES STREET SOUTH OF HAZELWOOD, CITY OF ST. CLAIR SHORES MDOT notified the city that a portion of Hughes Street south of Hazelwood does not appear vacated on their official Act 51 maps. The city cannot find record of this portion of the street as vacated. MDOT has requested the St. Clair Shores City Council to vacate the portion of Hughes Street, 50 feet in width, as dedicated on the plat of Green Garden Subdivision in Liber 7 Page 87 of Plats, Macomb County Records, lying westerly of and adjacent to lots 35, 36, 37, and 38 of said subdivision. A copy is on file in the Office of the City Clerk if this portion is vacated. WHEREAS, the City Council deems it advisable to vacate such portion and in accordance with Ordinance 10.312 of the Charter of the City of St. Clair Shores hereby appoints Monday, the 15th of June, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 27600 Jefferson Avenue, St. Clair Shores, as the time and place where it shall meet to hear objections to the portion of said street. Written objections can be filed with the St. Clair Shores City Clerk, 27600 Jefferson Avenue, St. Clair Shores MI 48081, during normal business hours, or by email cityclerk@scsmi.net, until the time of the Public Hearing. WHEREAS, it is further resolved that a notice of such meeting with a copy of this resolution shall be published two successive weeks before said time of such meeting. THEREFORE, it is further resolved that this resolution shall be posted in three public places within portion proposed to be vacated. Abrial J.
