Legal Notice Consumers Energy, 1945 W. Parnall Rd, Jackson, MI announces that it is planning to apply a herbicide to its right-of-way in order to maintain the reliability of its gas pipeline system. The herbicide will be applied with either hand pumped-backpack style sprayers or UTV mounted sprayers. The crews will selectively apply herbicides to woody tree species throughout the pipeline right-of-way as needed. Crop areas and gardens will be avoided. Herbicides that will be used are a combination of the following: Garlon 3A (active ingredient: Triclopyr), Milestone (AI: Aminopyralid), Escort XP (AI: Metsulfuron Methyl), Garlon 4 Ultra (AI: Triclopyr), Arsenal (AI: Imazapyr), and Stalker (AI: Isopropylamine Salt of Imazapyr), with water or basal oil as a diluent. The application is scheduled for March 30th through December 31st in Isabella, Midland and Gratiot Counties. All treatments will be completed according to label requirements and all state and federal requirements. Please keep people and pets off treated areas until sprays have dried. There are no restrictions on your use of the treated area after the material has dried on the plant. Thunder Bay Tree Service has been contracted to perform this work.
