EPA Seeks Comments on Proposed Changes to Injection Well Permits New Boston, Michigan The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency at 77 W Jackson Boulevard, Chicago, IL is accepting comments on its proposed approval of modifications to two injection well permits for Republic Services of Michigan I, LLC (Republic), 28800 Clark Road, Wayne County, Michigan. The existing permits are for two injection wells, IW 1-36N, and IW 2-36E, that Republic uses to inject non-hazardous liquid waste from the Carleton Farms Landfill. Comments and requests for a public hearing must be submitted in writing. EPA will hold a hearing if it determines there is significant interest in the proposed permit modifications based upon written requests. If a public hearing is scheduled, a notice of the hearing will be published at least 30 days in advance. EPA will respond to all significant comments on the proposed permit modifications submitted on or before February 25.
