City of Southgate NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Mayor of Southgate, in accordance with the mandates of the City Charter Article 5, will prepare and submit to the Council a PROPOSED BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2026/27 . A copy of the proposed budget will be on file with the City Clerk for public examination at any time during regular business hours beginning April 1, 2026. Notice is therefore given that the Council of the City of Southgate will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers of the Norma J. Wurmlinger Municipal Building, 14400 Dix Toledo, Southgate, Michigan for the purpose of reviewing the budget prior to its adoption by the City Council. The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of the hearing. You may appear at the above-designated hearing to voice your support or objections.
