Proposals should demonstrate the developer’s qualifications, financial capacity, and experience with similarly scaled projects, while also outlining a clear vision for the property’s future use. Proposals will be evaluated on responsiveness, experience, understanding of the City’s objectives, methodology, community benefits, and purchase price. A shortlist may be invited for interviews, and the selected developer must provide an earnest money deposit equal to 20% of the purchase price. Ultimately, the City seeks a development partner who can transform the Kennett Road Landfill property into a project that delivers economic, social, and community benefits, while responsibly addressing the unique characteristics of the site.
