CITY OF OAK PARK NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING APRIL 6, 2026 @ 7:00 PM SPECIAL ASSESSMENT ROLL #731 - UNPAID UTILITY INVOICES SPECIAL ASSESSMENT ROLL #732- UNPAID FALSE ALARM INVOICES SPECIAL ASSESSMENT ROLL #733 – UNPAID MISCELLANEOUS CONCRETE INVOICES SPECIAL ASSESSMENT ROLL #734 - UNPAID PROPERTY BLIGHT INVOICES NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Oak Park, Michigan will meet in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 14000 Oak Park Boulevard, Oak Park, Michigan, on Monday, April 6, 2026 at 7:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time, to hear and consider any suggestions or objections to the special assessment rolls as prepared by the City Assessor for the expenses described above. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that costs, including 10% penalty thereof, are on record with the City Clerk for public inspection and examination. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that protest at the hearing in the special assessment proceedings is required to appeal the amount of the special assessment to the State Tax Tribunal. An owner or party in interest, or his or her agent, may participate at the hearing to protest the special assessment, or shall be permitted to file his or her appearance or protest by letter with the City Clerk at the above address or to cityclerk@oakparkmi.gov prior to the hearing, and his or her personal appearance shall not be required. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that in accordance with Public Acts 64 and 65 of 1989, the owner, or any person having an interest in the real property, may file a written appeal of the special assessment with the State Tax Tribunal within 30 days after the confirmation of the special assessment roll if the special assessment was protested at the hearing held for the purpose of confirming the roll. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that questions regarding utility special assessments or payments should be directed to the Water Department at 248-691-7470 and all other special assessments or payments to the Finance/Treasury Department at 248-691-7545.
