CITY OF MT. PLEASANT TALL WEEDS AND GRASS All property owners are urged to maintain grass and weed levels below 12 inches in height through the summer season. Chapter 96: NUISANCES, § 96.05 LAWN MAINTENANCE; HEIGHT; REMOVAL OF NOXIOUS WEEDS. States that any weeds, grass, unhealthful growths or other noxious matters which are higher than 12 inches in height after May 1 may be cut by a representative of the City. The City may cause a property to be mowed as many times as is necessary in order to meet the standards of the ordinance. The cost of the work shall be charged against the owner of said land. §(B)(2) Lists the deleterious, unhealthful growths or other noxious matter that is not allowed in excess of 12 inches in height. §(C) Lists the native grasses to Michigan which are allowed to be in excess of 12 inches in height.
