CITY OF MT. PLEASANT NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The City Commission of the City of Mt. Pleasant will hold a public hearing on November 10, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., in the City Commission Room, City Hall, 320 W. Broadway Street, for the purpose of receiving comment on the proposed renewal of the City of Mt. Pleasant Central Business District and Tax Increment Financing Plan (the “Plan”) of the City of Mt. Pleasant Tax Increment Financing Authority (the “TIFA”), a tax increment financing authority created pursuant to Act No. 450 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1980, as amended. The boundaries of the TIFA’s development area are generally described as follows: Central Business District - An area generally bounded by Illinois Street to the south, Conrail (old Ann Arbor Railroad) line to the west, Fancher Street to the east, bordering Island Park extending along Main Street north to Pickard. (See the Plan for the exact legal description of the development area and additional information as to its relation to other districts, highways and streets.) A copy of the Renewal Plan is available for inspection at the City Clerk’s Office, City Hall, 320 W. Broadway Street, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and daily at Veterans Memorial Library, 301 S. University. All aspects of the Renewal Plan will be open for discussion at the public hearing. All interested persons may attend and participate.
