CITY OF MELVINDALE NOTICE OF REGISTRATION FOR PRIMARY ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 4, 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that any person not already registered, who possesses the constitutional qualifications of an elector in the City of Melvindale, Wayne County, Michigan, or who will possess such qualifications on the day of the Primary Election to be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, may make application for registration at the City Clerk’s Office; the office of the County Clerk; a Secretary of State branch office, or other designated state agency. Registration forms can be obtained at mi.gov/vote and mailed to the City Clerk (mail-in registrations must be postmarked on or before July 20, 2026). Voters who are already registered may update their registration at www.expressSOS.com. The last day to register in any manner other than in-person with the City Clerk is Monday, July 20, 2026. After this date, anyone who qualifies as an elector may register to vote in person with proof of residency (MCL 168.492) at the City of Melvindale City Clerk’s office, located at 3100 Oakwood Blvd., Melvindale, MI 48122 at the following times: • Regular business hours: Monday thru Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (closed for lunch between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.) • Saturday, August 1st from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. • Election Day, Tuesday, August 4th from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The following offices and proposals will appear on the Primary Ballot: Governor United States Senator Representative in Congress 13th District State Senator 2nd District Representative in State Legislature 2nd District County Executive Delegate to County Convention Wayne County Transit Authority, Public Transportation Millage Proposal The full text of Proposals can be obtained in the City Clerk’s Office during business hours.
