The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Gibraltar convened at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building, 29450 Munro Avenue, Gibraltar, MI. 48173 Present: Shumate, Boismier, Cox, Dill, LaPointe, McNabb, Molnar Absent: None COUNCIL TOOK THE FOLLOWING ACTION: 26-199 Add “Re-Appointments for Zoning Ordinance Steering Committee” as item I under New Business on the agenda. 26-200 Approve the agenda as revised. 26-201 Approve the consent agenda as follows: A)Bills Reference #23-A, C, & D, B) Payroll #1014 & #1015, C) City Council Minutes of 5/26/2026, D) City Council Study Session Minutes of 5/26/2026, E) Planning Commission Minutes of 3/17/2026, F) DDA Minutes of 3/17/2026, G) Police Department Report for 6/8/2026, H) Fire Department Report for 6/8/2026. 26-202 Allow Councilman Molnar to remove himself from all consideration for any bills or quotes regarding Flo-Aire Heating & Cooling from now going forward. 26-203 Approve the payment of Bills Reference #23-B to Flo-Aire Heating & Cooling. 26-204 Postpone the Re-appointments of Zoning Board of Appeals members due to the restructuring to stagger the terms. 26-205 Approve the purchase of a kayak launch kit for the Gibraltar Kayak Launch site. 26-206 Table item F) Replacement of Two Existing ACCU’s at City Hall. 26-207 Direct City Administrator Witherspoon to present Council with options for pursuing a Tax/Assessment Consultant and an Industrial Hygienist to review in M-2 zoning or other zoning where data centers are allowed. 26-208 Authorize the local match to The Senior Alliance for 2026. (Motion failed.) 26-209 Re-appoint Councilwoman LaPointe as an alternate to the Zoning Ordinance Steering Committee. 26-210 Remove from the table item F) Replacement of Two Existing ACCU’s at City Hall. 26-211 Approve the quote from Flo-Aire Heating & Cooling for replacing Air Conditioning Condenser Units 5 & 4.
