CITY OF FLAT ROCK ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR CONSIDERATION OF A VARIANCE REQUEST NOTICE IS HEARBY GIVEN, pursuant to Public Act 110 of 2006, as amended, that a public hearing will be held by the City of Flat Rock Zoning Board of Appeals at 7:00 PM, Monday, July 13, 2026, in Conference Room A at City Hall. Participation details will be posted on the City’s website so that interested persons may participate in the hearing. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that the purpose of the public hearing is to hear and consider a variance request for: PZBA 26-007 Accessory Structure at 24165 East Huron River Dr. A petition to request a variance to the following: Appendix A Zoning, Article 2.00, Section 2.03 Sub-section A (1), Requirement for “No accessory structure or use shall be constructed or established on a parcel unless there is a principal building, structure, or use being constructed or already established on the same parcel of land.” Applicant is requesting a variance for “Retaining an existing accessory structure after removal/demolishing of primary structure. Allowed: 0 accessory structures after demolition, Proposed: 1 accessory structure after demolition, Overage: 1 accessory structure after demolition.” NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that the proposal and supporting documents may be requested of the City Clerk via email at clerk@flatrockmi.org until the date of the Public Hearing.
