CITY OF FLAT ROCK ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR CONSIDERATION OF A VARIANCE REQUEST NOTICE IS HEARBY GIVEN, pursuant to Public Act 110 of 2006, as amended, that a public hearing will be held by the City of Flat Rock Zoning Board of Appeals at 7:00 PM, Monday, July 13, 2026, in Conference Room A at City Hall. Participation details will be posted on the City’s website so that interested persons may participate in the hearing. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that the purpose of the public hearing is to hear and consider a variance request for: PZBA 26-006 Fence at 30556 Maple View Ln. A petition to request a variance to the following: Appendix A Zoning, Article 2.00, Section 2.20 Sub-section (b), Requirement for “Fencing past the rear corner of the principal building shall be no taller than 4’.” Applicant is requesting a variance for “Installing a 6’ tall privacy fence past the rear corner of the principal structure where only a 4’ fence is allowed. Allowed height: 4, Proposed height: 6’, Overage: 2’.” NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that the proposal and supporting documents may be requested of the City Clerk via email at clerk@flatrockmi.org until the date of the Public Hearing. Written comments on the proposed document can be sent to the City Clerk’s office at the above address or via email until 4:00 PM the day of the meeting.
