CITY OF EASTPOINTE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FISCAL YEAR 2026/2027 PROPOSED BUDGET The Eastpointe City Council will hold a public hearing on the Fiscal Year 2026/2027 proposed budget on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., at City Hall, located at 23200 Gratiot Avenue, Eastpointe, MI, 48021. THE PROPERTY TAX MILLAGE RATE PROPOSED TO BE LEVIED TO SUPPORT THE PROPOSED BUDGET WILL BE A SUBJECT OF THIS HEARING. The proposed FY2026/2027 millage rate is as follows: 16.3222 mills for general operating; 0.7541 mills for the Library Fund; 0.8988 mills for the Library; and 5.1500 mills for Chapter 20 Drain debt retirement for a total millage of 23.1251. A copy of the proposed budget is on file and available to the public for inspection during regular office hours at the office of the City Manager, 23200 Gratiot Avenue, Eastpointe, MI and at the Memorial Library, 15875 Oak, Eastpointe, MI. In addition, for Fiscal Year 2026/2027, the City proposes to levy 1.9571 mills in the Downtown Development Authority District for purposes of providing maintenance of the right-of-way improvements.
