CITY OF EASTPOINTE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PLANNING COMMISSION Pursuant to Michigan Public Act 110 of 2006 (the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act), as amended, notice is hereby given that the City of Eastpointe Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., at City Hall (located at 23200 Gratiot Avenue, Eastpointe, Michigan, 48021). The purpose of the public hearing is to consider proposed text and map amendments to the City of Eastpointe Zoning Ordinance that will: improve clarity and amend regulations regarding event hall, signage, special land uses required, landscaping, accessory buildings, structures, and uses, and contractor’s offices; correct typographical errors; add and revise glossary definitions, and; amend the zoning classifications of a portion of two split-zoned parcels. Amendments to the following Zoning Ordinance Sections and the Zoning Map will be considered: 1. Amend Section 2.07 Table of Land Uses by Zoning District 2. Add Section 7.01 Accessory Uses, Buildings and Structures 3. Amend Section 7.03 Parking and Storage of Commercial / Recreational Vehicles 4. Amend Section 8.04(B) Off-Street Parking Requirements 5. Amend Section 9.04(B) and (C) Landscaping General Standards 6. Amend Section 9.05 Non-Single-Family Landscape Design Standards 7. Amend Section 10.02 Sign Standards by District 8. Amend Section 10.03 Sign Definitions 9. Amend Section 10.05 Temporary Signage 10.Amend Section 13.02 Special Land Uses Required 11. Amend and add definitions to Article 19 Glossary 12. Change the zoning classification of a portion of the land at 24200 Gratiot Avenue (14-30-279-002) from MU-3 (Regional Mixed Use) to LI (Light Industrial) 13. Change the zoning classification of a portion of the land at 17375 8 Mile Road from MU-1 (Neighborhood Mixed-Use) to MU-3 (Regional Mixed-Use) A copy of the proposed ordinance and map amendments are available for public inspection at City Hall, located at 23200 Gratiot Avenue, Mon-Thu 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The City of Eastpointe will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services to individuals at the meeting/hearing upon 5 days’ prior notice.
