CITY OF CLAWSON PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING CHAPTER 34 “ZONING” ORDINANCE AMENDMENT Notice is hereby given that the Clawson Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on February 24, 2026, beginning at 7:30 PM, or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows, at Clawson City Hall, 425 N. Main St, Clawson, MI 48017. A teleconference attendance option will be provided. Meeting information will be provided on the City’s website: www.CityofClawson.com The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comments on proposed amendments to the zoning ordinance. Amendments would have the following effects: - Change Section 3.1.K.2 to permit duplexes in the CMD district, - Amend Section 3.1.M.2 to make existing attached residential uses a permitted use in the BRD-1 district, - Repeal Section 4.47, which is redundant to other sections of the zoning ordinance, - Amend Section 4.29 to remove the residential separation standard for veterinary clinics with no outdoor animal runs, - Amend Section 3.1.P.2 to permit veterinary clinics in the I-1 district, - Amend Section 4.39 to remove the residential separation standard for indoor recreation uses, - Amend Section 4.42 to decrease residential separation standards for auto repair. A copy of the proposed amendment is available for viewing on the City’s website (www.CityofClawson.com) and at Clawson City Hall, 425 N. Main St, Clawson, MI 48017, prior to the public hearing, during the City’s regular business hours, Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM through 5:30 PM. Written comments may be addressed to the Planning Commission at the City Hall address. Oral comments will be taken during the hearing on February 24, 2026.
