CHIPPEWA TOWNSHIP PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE – SPECIAL USE NOTICE is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Chippewa Township Hall located at 11084 East Pickard Road, Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, before the Chippewa Township Planning Commission for the purpose of hearing any interested person in the following request for a Special Use Permit for a proposed campground/resort. Legal Descriptions of the parcels under consideration: Five parcels of land totaling approximately 180 acres in all, being part of the Northeast ¼, and the Northwest ¼ and the Southwest ¼ of Section 27, Chippewa Township. Parcel Numbers 02-027-20-002-00; 02-027-20-003-00; 02-027-10-002-07; 02-027-30-004-07 and 02-027-10-002-04. Location Commonly Described as: Vacant Lands, previously utilized for sand mining having access to Wise Road approximately ¼ mile South of Broomfield Road and a non-habitable single-family dwelling and parcel at 9470 East Broomfield Road.
