CITY OF ST. CLAIR SHORES NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING ANNUAL ACTION PLAN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM A public hearing will be held on Tuesday February 24, 2026, at 7 p.m., at St. Clair Shores City Hall, 27600 Jefferson Avenue, to obtain the views of the citizens concerning the housing and community development needs of the city, which will be considered for inclusion into the Community Development Block Grant Annual Action Plan and 5-year Consolidated Plan. The Consolidated Plan is the document used to determine which activities the city will fund with CDBG grant money over the next five years. The Consolidated Plan is necessary to submit to HUD to receive CDBG funds. The City of St. Clair Shores expects to receive over $800,000 in CDBG funds for the program year 2026-2027 for the purposes of undertaking a variety of projects meeting one of the three national objectives – 1) benefit low and moderate income persons, 2) aid in the prevention or elimination of slums and blight, or 3) meet other community development needs having a particular urgency. The proposed projects must also relate to priorities of housing, homelessness, and community development needs that will be earmarked in the Consolidated Plan.
