CITY OF EASTPOINTE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING 2026 Community Development Block Grant Funding TAKE NOTICE that a public hearing will be held before the Eastpointe City Council on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 7 p.m., at Eastpointe City Hall, 23200 Gratiot Avenue, Eastpointe, Michigan 48021. The purpose of the public hearing is to obtain the views of citizens concerning community development and housing needs, as required by the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended. The City of Eastpointe will be applying for two grants of up to $150,000 each in the Bricks and Mortar Funding Competition, and will allocate $23,400 in Public Service Funding in Community Development Block Grant funds for fiscal year 2026, from the Macomb “Urban County” Program. Federal guidelines require that maximum priority be given to activities that primarily benefit low or moderate-income families or that aid in the prevention or elimination of slums and blight. Citizens residing in blighted areas or lower-income persons are encouraged to participate.
