Undercut unsuitable material, additional aggregate subbase will be added as needed to provide a stable and well-graded base for asphalt surface. A total of 4.5” of asphalt overlay (with an integral asphalt curb) will be installed on the road surface with an average total width of 22 feet. No aggregate shoulder will be installed. Existing drives will be removed and replaced from the edge of the road to the right of way. Existing driveway materials will be matched. Where they exist, ditches will remain in place and be graded to ensure positive drainage. All existing storm sewer shall be cleaned and televised and repaired via lining or open cut as deemed necessary by the Engineer. Existing catch basin castings will be adjusted to the proposed new gutter/swale grades. General cleanup and restoration of the work site will occur following construction including topsoil, seed and mulch for all disturbed lawn areas. Plans and estimates have been prepared and are on file with the Township Clerk for public examination. TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Township Board will meet on September 17, 2025 at 6:00 o’clock P.M. at the Township Hall located at 223 East Gates, Romeo, MI 48065 for the purpose of hearing any objections to the petition, the installation of said paving improvements and the creation of a special assessment district therefor.
