PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the Lenox Township Board of Trustees will conduct a Public Hearing on Monday, February 2, 2026, beginning at 6:30 PM, at the Lenox Township Municipal Offices, 63775 Gratiot Avenue, Lenox, MI 48050, on the proposed use of the 2026 Community Development Block Grant Funds, as required by the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended. Lenox Township will receive approximately $1,900 in Community Development Block Grant Funds, which will be available for public funding. Federal guidelines require that maximum priority be given to activities, which primarily benefit low or moderate income families or which aid in the prevention or elimination of slums or blight. A variety of projects are eligible for community development funding, including: Property Acquisition Handicapped barrier removal Public Works and Facilities Code Enforcement Building Clearance/Rehab Historic Preservation Public Services Planning and Administration Housing Rehabilitation Citizens residing in blighted areas or persons of low and moderate income are encouraged to participate.
