AMEMNDMENT TO ORDINANCE 30.050 SUMMARY FOR PUBLICATION The City of Mount Clemens has adopted an ordinance to amend the city’s skateboard ordinance to further define and clarify definitions and prohibitions and to change the Ordinance name and repeal all Ordinances in conflict therewith. The ordinance currently prohibits the use of skateboards, roller skates, and roller blades on sidewalks within the central business district, which is defined as the area bounded by Southbound Gratiot Avenue, Cass Avenue, Northbound Gratiot Avenue and Market Street. The proposed amendments would add electric skateboards, electric bicycles, and mopeds to this prohibition. Electric personal mobility devices would be an exception.
